Usually when people correlate fitness on a Friday it doesn’t seem to bode well or for some, fitness at all. It’s the end of the week, this time is for weekend getaways, partying, or even catching up on a little bit of ZZZ’s! Either way there's always an excuse. Typically this is where individuals lose their mojo from a hard week of consistent exercise and eating. This is where #FitnessFriday comes along and hopefully gets that fire and desire in your belly to finish up the week strong! The whole idea behind this is to help STOP making Friday a skip day when you know deep down inside it’s the latter for making not only your weekend great but also the following Monday where your workout plan comes back into play great! Don’t get me wrong its crucial for your body to get quality rest and get ready for the following week but it’s vital to finish up your week strong in order to help deliver results. It’s all about moderation. Down below check out some of the main reasons fitness can be crucial in delivering not only a happier/more relaxing weekend but also a healthier lifestyle:


WORK PRODUCTION WILL BE AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH

Yes, the prototypical cup of coffee in the morning will get you going but it has nothing on the boost you would get from an endorphin-filled workout high, studies have shown that exercise changes the brain in ways that protect memory and thinking skills. So if work or school presents itself with a big project/presentation to close out the week, working out before then has the tendency of improving retention and performance.





QUALITY OF SLEEP IS SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER

Studies say that people sleep significantly better and feel more awake and energized throughout the day if they get at least 150 minutes of exercise per week. For example, this can be calculated for merely a moderate or vigorous 30 minute workout everyday throughout the week(Mon-Fri). This means that compared to individuals with less physical activity throughout the week, Saturday and Sunday will feel HEAVEN-ly in the morning once you get your proper sleep, no pun intended.

Say it with me, RELAX. Weekends are strictly for enjoying your time off and doing things that make you happy. Everybody loves the weekend but knowing that you were able to workout throughout the week and finish up on Friday makes it even more worthwhile. This feeling allows you to be stress free and less anxious. Sleep in as long as you want, have that cheat meal because you know you deserve it, having that subtle reminder in your head that you were able to close out strong is what it’s all about.
